Welcome to MIT.nano, new graduate students!
We are able to get new users into the lab, but COVID-19 precautions have made some trainings more challenging or lowered the throughput. Thus, we’re in the middle of changing our orientations and make trainings more scalable.
Over the next four weeks, we will try to accommodate everyone (more flow + smaller pipeline = higher pressure). We know training slots are filling up quickly, and are doing our best to meet demand. At the bottom of the sign up in Atlas, click “Get notified (prebook) - Available session(s) not suit you? Receive a notification when a new session becomes available.” This will send you an email whenever new dates are added so you get first pick. With increasing certainty about rampup and operations, we’ll be able to add more dates and farther out in time.
- For sign up and EHS training, follow instructions at nanousers.mit.edu.
- Sign up for orientation here.
- Remember to add the Fab 12 and 39 services in MUMMS & join the EHS training groups, otherwise you’re likely going to miss something.
- Wet chemical processing: stay tuned or add yourself to the notification.
Quick-start (For new-users with none or limited fab experience)
We resumed the 1-day hands-on quick-start. Four more sessions are coming up, bu they are already fully booked due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions (smaller classes than usual). We’ll add more times soon. Please add yourself to the notification.
