MIT.nano resumed new user orientations as of August 3. These will be held weekly beginning August 18 at 2pm. Sign up here.
- We are in the middle of making gowning, de-gowning, and cleanroom walk-through training videos for the new orientations. First drafts/versions will be ready in the next week or two, and we’ll include them in the new orientations, as well as invite comments from the community.
- Our hope (maybe starting September) is to have much of the new user orientation be self-paced, for a faster, easier, and asynchronous new-user experience. We’ll ask for feedback once we get close to that stage.
- For new-users with none or limited fab experience, we resumed the 1-day hands-on quick-start this week. Additional slots are being added. Sign up here.
We brought in a new gowning rack into the Fab-12 gowning area, so next week we have 72 hangers available vs. 48 now. They’ll go online in CORAL next week.
Next training slots:
- Wet chemical processing: Aug 25, 1-3pm, zoom, 10 seats. Sign up in Atlas.
- MIT.nano Emergency Preparedness - General: Aug 17, 11am-12pm, zoom, 10 seats. Sign up in Atlas.
- New-user orientations: Weekly starting Aug 18 at 2pm: Sign up in Atlas.
For new users: Remember to add the Fab 12 and 39 services in MUMMS and join the EHS training groups, otherwise you’re likely going to miss something.
